The defining feature of LUK II is the lower berth that slides out from under the main bed. Stored away, the cot keeps the footprint of a regular 160×80 cm children's bed; rolled out, it offers a second 160×80 cm sleeping place for a sibling or an unexpected overnight guest. The pull-out section can be mounted on the right- or left-hand side, so the layout adapts to the room rather than the other way round.
Raised sides and a removable safety barrier
The upper berth has raised sides that help keep a child from rolling out during sleep. For more active sleepers a removable safety barrier can be added on the chosen side, and the lower bed's own barrier can be detached at any time. Laminated board frame with rounded PVC edges
The frame is built from double-sided laminated furniture board, which keeps the structure stable and easy to wipe clean.
